Well, it was a good training ride! The day was fine and bright, but a tad chilly and the north-westerly wind was a might strong. The changed course was beneficial because we struggled into the wind, had a respite on the long run south and then hung on grimly to the finish. There were enough DNS's that all the reserves could have had a ride, but Mark with several of the others opted not to hang around on the morning on the off chance - a wise move under the circumstances.
